The Partnership Takes Home Silver

Atlanta's first distillery since 1906 opens its doors with a big win

Brothers Craig and Jeff Moore had a dream to bring distilling back to Atlanta – paying respect to the old ways of doing things while incorporating the newest technology to create vodka and gin that meets the stringent standards established over 100 years ago. For years, they worked tirelessly to acquire the proper permits, location and equipment. Eventually, all the hard work paid off and Old Fourth Distillery was born. All that was missing was the bottle. So they turned to us for help.

Working in collaboration with the folks at O4D, we went to work on designing the bottle. It was vital to pay homage to Atlanta – something for which both The Partnership and Old Fourth Distillery have a tremendous amount of passion. On the neck of the bottle, “Atlanta” is written in a font that nods to the Braves while the image on the back of the bottle features the Cotton Mill Lofts as they sat over a hundred years ago. We were also able to incorporate elements inspired from the tasting room architecture.

Well, it appears as if all these details were not lost on the judges of the San Francisco World Spirits Competition as the Old Fourth Distillery Vodka bottle was awarded the 2015 Packaging Design Silver Award. David Arnold, Founder and President of The Partnership, summed it up best, “We were honored to be chosen by Old Fourth Distillery to design their bottle. Their passion for Atlanta, coupled with their desire for great design, made this a unique and fun project. Considering there were over 1,500 entries to the award competition, it just proves once again that the collaborative relationships we form with our clients creates exceptional work for which we can all be proud.”
