At The Partnership, we’re driven by values that extend beyond the traditional workplace. As Atlanta’s oldest privately held marketing and brand communications agency, we pride ourselves on blending partnership, purpose, passion, and progress with a commitment to the communities and client-partners we serve. Giving back through volunteer efforts allows us to not only support causes we believe in but also strengthen our team and our work.

Recently, members of our Atlanta team volunteered with Second Helpings Atlanta (SHA), a nonprofit organization focused on reducing hunger and food waste across the Metro Atlanta area. Our volunteers packed 8,000 servings to feed 1,000 families across the city, working side-by-side to support a cause that directly impacts our neighbors. For our team, these efforts aren’t just about giving back; they’re about embodying our core values of purpose and partnership in a hands-on, impactful way. Community involvement like this reinforces our commitment to serving beyond the workplace and helps foster a sense of unity and shared purpose within our team. By dedicating our time and energy to projects like this, we’re able to deepen our connection with each other, our community, and the values that drive The Partnership.

About Second Helpings Atlanta

Second Helpings Atlanta (SHA) serves ten Metro Atlanta counties, including Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, and Hall, with plans to expand. In 2022, SHA rescued over 4.1 million pounds of surplus food, providing nearly 3.4 million fresh, nutritious meals. Through programs like the Full Plate Project, SHA distributed over 500,000 nourishing meals to partner agencies that support local families and individuals facing food insecurity.

Second Helpings Atlanta’s network relies on:

  • Food donors who provide surplus nutritious food.
  • Partner agencies that distribute food to their communities.
  • Volunteers who facilitate daily food rescues.
  • Strategic partners and financial donors who help expand SHA’s reach and visibility.

Ways Other Companies Can Get Involved

Businesses and individuals can support Second Helpings Atlanta in various ways:

  • Volunteer: Dedicate just 90 minutes to rescue and deliver nutritious food or sign up your company to volunteer for a half day.
  • Advocate: Spread the word about SHA’s mission to help raise awareness.
  • Donate: Financial contributions directly fuel SHA’s operations, enabling them to serve more people in need.

The Partnership’s Commitment to Giving Back

Community service is at the heart of The Partnership. Through The Partnership Gives Back initiatives, we aim to shape future generations and support local organizations. Our agency’s commitment includes a $50,000 pledge to Bluestone, the student-led PR firm at the University of West Georgia, a collaboration with Georgia State University to bring real-world campaigns to life, and annual traditions like the Turkey drive in Naples led by our client-partner Capital Wealth Advisors.

By building in time for community service, The Partnership team creates impactful work that resonates with our values of purpose, partnership, passion and progress.

Our work with Second Helpings Atlanta is just one example of how we aim to make a positive impact. By supporting organizations that address vital needs in our community, we hope to inspire others to find ways to give back. Let’s continue to create change, together.
